Community Support
Support groups at The Self Centre offer facilitated spaces for people to connect, share experiences, and receive guidance in a supportive, non-clinical group setting. These groups are designed to promote understanding normalization and community connection.
Current offerings- 1. mood and movement- short description: a gentle, movement-based class that supports emotional well being through simple accessible movement and body awareness
Purpose: help participants notice how movement can shift mood, stress, and energy.

How this integrates with Care
Support groups may be offered as optional, adjunct supports and can compliment individual psychiatric, therapeutic or physical therapy services when appropriate. Participation is free of charge, voluntary and does not require enrollment in other services.
Who this is for
This is for individuals looking for facilitated peer support and education that is distinct from medical treatment or psychotherapy. Participation is currently for people 18 years of age or older. Topics may change seasonally.
Patient Choice & Sequenced Care
Participation in support groups is based entirely on patient choice. Attendance is optional and choosing not to participate does not limit access to other services at The Self Centre.
